Warmly welcome to our Step Beyond web pages! My name is Christel Berghäll- Högström and I am the Founder and Managing Director of Step Beyond.
 

Leadership excellence through coaching and co-creation

 

I am a strong believer in coaching as a method to develop individuals, teams and organizations. Very often we hold the answers to our own questions. We just need an opportunity to reflect and discover where we are and where we could be in order to get new insights for improving our performance and effectiveness. We often also need to discover the habitual patterns we are stuck with that prevent us from renewing ourselves. We need to identify those patterns and have the courage to "break the code" and to unlearn.

In order to achieve sustainable organizational change, it is important to work with leadership simultaneously at individual level, team level as well the entire organizational system that we operate in. Organization culture is a great enabler but also a powerful blocker in making the change happen. Most sustainable results are achieved through real co-creation whereby employees and leaders are invited to be part of the solution. Christel Berghäll- Högström

I have 15 years of experience in international human resources management and I am specialized in helping organizations become more effective through leadership excellence and strategic human resource management. I have worked several years as a senior human resources executive and as a management team member and have a good sense of the world and the mind of an executive in today’s business. I have worked in various industries (IT, telecommunications, sports equipment and soft goods, technical building systems, constructions and industrial services) in businesses characterized by complexity and rapid change. The scope my work has been international throughout my career and I have worked and lived in Finland, Germany and China.

I hold a Master’s degree in economics (M.Sc. econ.). I have completed my Diploma in Advanced Executive Coaching in London, UK and I am currently also pursuing my diploma in Gestalt Coaching in one of the leading Coach Academies in the UK. I am a Professionally Certified Coach (PCC) by International Coach Federation (ICF) and a board member and President for International Coach Federation (ICF) Finland during 2011. I am a Senior Fellow for Human Capital at The Conference Board. I am also a member of the European Mentoring and Couching Council (EMCC). My working languages are English, Swedish and Finnish and I converse in French.

My coaching clients often describe me as intuitive, challenging & encouraging.

During my free time I love to do different kinds of sports, such as down- hill and cross-country skiing, jogging, tennis & golf. I am also passionate about gardening.
